At BugFly (operated by Native Bytes), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the privacy of all players, including children and families. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, store, disclose, and safeguard information in full compliance with Google Play Developer Program Policies, Google Play Families Policy, COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), and GDPR / GDPR-K.

By downloading, installing, or playing the BugFly mobile application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

BugFly is designed to be a safe, fun, family-friendly game suitable for players of all ages:

  • NO Collection of Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We DO NOT collect, store, or share real names, physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or exact location data from children or any users.
  • NO Target / Behavioral Advertising to Children: Advertisements (if served) are strictly delivered via Google Play Certified Ad SDKs for Families, tagged for Child-Directed Treatment (TFCD), and limited to contextual, non-personalized ads.
  • NO Access to Advertising ID (AD_ID) for Children: We do not track or transmit the Advertising ID (AD_ID) for child users or targeted profiling.
  • Parental Controls on In-App Purchases: In-App Purchases (such as purchasing game keys or removing ads) are managed through Google Play's secure authentication system and require parental password/biometric authorization.

2. Architecture & Data Ownership (On-Device Gameplay)

BugFly is built with a privacy-focused architecture to keep your personal data safe:

  • Local On-Device Storage: Your game progress, unlocked levels, high scores, key inventory, graphic preferences, and audio settings are saved locally in your device's isolated application sandbox.
  • No Private Server Collection: Native Bytes does not operate external private servers to collect your personal gameplay records or user profiles.

3. Types of Information Processed

To enable essential gameplay functions, BugFly interacts with trusted, official Google framework services as detailed below:

4. In-App Purchases & Billing Data

Optional virtual items (e.g., extra keys/lives) are managed exclusively through Google Play Billing Services. When you make a purchase:

  • All financial transaction processing is handled safely by Google LLC under the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Native Bytes does not collect, view, or store your debit/credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or billing addresses.
  • Parents can require authentication for every purchase by navigating to Google Play Store → Settings → Purchase verification.

5. Third-Party Services & SDKs

BugFly uses official, trusted Google SDKs to provide core game services:

  • Google Play Services: Required for basic platform operations and framework support (Privacy Policy).
  • Google Play Games Services: For leaderboards, achievements, and player sign-in (Terms of Service).
  • Google Play Billing: For secure in-app purchase fulfillment.

We do not integrate any unapproved third-party tracking SDKs, data brokers, or unmoderated social chat features.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We strictly adhere to a zero-data-sharing policy:

  • We DO NOT SELL, RENT, SHARE, OR TRADE your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketers under any circumstances.
  • We only disclose information if required to comply with applicable laws, judicial proceedings, or court orders.

7. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

In accordance with Google Play User Data Policies, users and parents have full control over data deletion:

Local Game Data Deletion

All local data stored on your phone can be permanently deleted at any time by:

  • Clearing App Data via Android settings: Settings > Apps > BugFly > Storage > Clear Data.
  • Uninstalling the BugFly application from your device.

Google Play Games Score & Profile Deletion

To remove your leaderboard scores or achievement history from Google Play Games Services:

  • Open the Play Games app on your device.
  • Tap Profile / Settings > Delete Play Games account & data.
  • Select BugFly and tap Delete.

8. Data Security

We take appropriate technical measures to safeguard your information:

  • Local app storage is isolated inside Android's secure application sandbox.
  • All internet communication (e.g., leaderboards or billing verification) is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS protocols.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

BugFly is fully compliant with COPPA and GDPR-K regulations. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or store personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to remove such data.
