1. An Offline-First App
By default, Kameti Manager is an entirely offline application. All your data—including kameti groups, members, payment records, and expenses—is stored securely and locally on your phone's internal storage via a secure database.
2. Why We Need "Read Contacts" Permission
To make it easier for you to add members to your Kameti groups, the app requests the READ_CONTACTS permission. Here is how we use it:
- Local Use Only: We use this permission strictly to let you select a name and phone number from your phonebook to populate a member profile inside the app.
- No Data Uploads: Your contact list is NEVER uploaded to our servers, shared with any third parties, or used for marketing purposes.
- Optional: Granting this permission is completely optional. You can always choose to add members manually by typing their names and phone numbers.
3. In-App Purchases
Our premium features are managed via Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled securely by Google. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card information or direct payment details on our own servers.
4. Your Rights
- Data Deletion: If you use our offline mode, simply uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your Kameti data from your device. If you use our Cloud Sync feature, you can contact us to request total deletion of your cloud records.
- Export: The app natively provides features to export your data to Excel (.xls) or PDF formats directly to your device.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures within Android to protect your local database. However, please ensure your physical device is secured with a PIN, password, or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized access to your Kameti App.
